This is about a relationship, but of a different kind. It is a poem in memory of my grandma who died when I was 15, on the 9th October 2001. I wanted to share it with you now because I'm just starting to accept her death and would like to dedicate this to her memory.
I wasn't sure which section to put this poem in because it is heartache for me to have lost her but I will always have an immense love for her and the person she was. I have chosen this section because my love for her outweighs the pain.
A pain unknown like any other,
Filled my heart the day you died.
You left too soon,
No chance to say goodbye.
At first so much anger,
At first so much pain,
Life without you would never be the same.
But as the pain subsides,
And my vision clears
I see God took you to be my angel,
To guide me through the years.
And although your body may be gone,
You could never be forgotten,
Forever as my angel, in my heart you will stay,
And your soul, forever, in God's arms will lay.
I love you. Love your flowerpot xxx
