Love at first sight
When I was about sixteen years old I met a young man named Richard. I met Richard on the way to dropping my little cousin off at her boyfriend house. Well little did I know that I was then going to meet my soul mate, while I was in my pyjamas? My hair was all messed up, and I had just woken up. When I was just about to leave, he came up. He asked me these exact words, "hey, can you give me a ride to the store if it is not too much trouble?" Of course I gave him a ride. On our way to the store he asked me what my name was.
Anyway, I told him my name and he asked me for my number. I didn't give it to him, I just wasn't in the mood to talk to any guys. He kind of felt offended, but he understood that sometimes you are not always in the right mood or situation for certain things and talking to guys just wasn't for me at that time.
The next day when I was on my way to my cousin's house my phone rang. I answered and low and behold it was Alex (Richard's cousin) trying to get me to talk to Richard. Well I told him that I would talk to him just this once but that was it. So we talked and talked and then talked some more. Until it was then that I actually didn't mind if he had my number. So we started dating and getting to know each other a little more.
A year past and then two. Then it was my high school graduation, and just when it was just about through, Richard did something I never imagined that he would do. He ran up to the stage, got on the microphone and asked me to marry him. What do you think I said? Well of course I said yes! I mean we had been together for two years and we both had jobs and I was on my way to college. So every one cheered for us, even the girls that I didn't get along with were somewhat happy for me.
I am now twenty-two and Richard is twenty-four. We were married on Valentines of 1999.
We don't have any children yet. But I have some great news for him. I am two months pregnant. I am going to tell him tonight at dinner.
My story just goes to show you that anything can happen. But when you meet someone out of the blue, take advantage. You just don't know what it could lead to.
